I’ve been MIA the past 2 weeks cause I took time off to hang with friends and family for the holidays. While I genuinely love my work, I believe it’s important to take a break once in a while, and recharge for the new year… … because, I don’t know about you, but I always feel super motivated to improve my life once that clock hits midnight and I know I’ll need all the juice I can get to make those big changes. So in today’s newsletter, I wanted to help you kickstart your 2026 by sharing 3 of my favorite tricks that’ll help you save money and build wealth. 1. Think in annual costThis is what I call the monthly cost trap: it’s easy to blow your budget on small monthly subscriptions because our brains don’t register monthly costs as “too expensive.” But if you reframe it to annual cost, everything changes.
Monthly costs add up fast. $25/month is $300/year. Just 3 subscriptions at $15/month is $540/year. If you know you’ll use a service all year, check if they offer a discount for paying upfront. For example, certain services sell yearly subscriptions for 15-40% less than paying month by month. 2. Create a separate emailThe more you see promotional emails, the more likely you are to buy something you don’t need. It’s like walking past a tasty bakery when you’re avoiding sweets. Constant exposure equals constant temptation. My tip is to create a separate email just for promotions, like vincentshopping123@gmail.com. That way, you control when you see the deals instead of living in 24/7 temptation. If you’re actually shopping for something, you know where to look. 3. Start investing with small amounts early onStarting early with what you can is one of the biggest drivers of long-term wealth there is. The earlier you can do it, the better. Start with low cost index funds that track the entire market. It is almost impossible to go wrong this way. In fact, I won't go into much detail here because I've been working on a completely free LIVE workshop where I'll explain this in so much more detail. Inside the workshop, I'll share:
And so much more... Again, it's 100% free to join but space is limited because I’ll be taking questions live. Click here to join the waitlist to secure your spot in the free workshop. I’ll send you all the details once it’s ready. Smart Money Move of The WeekNever Pay Full PriceMost people miss out on hundreds of dollars a year in basically free money because they never check for cash-back offers when shopping online. Cash-back is like getting a partial refund every time you buy something. For example, a $100 watch with 20% cashback means you get $20 back so that $100 watch only costs you $80. Not using cash-back is leaving money on the table. You’re buying stuff anyway, so you might as well get paid for it. My favorite way to make sure I'm always maximizing my cash-back is with Rakuten. Rakuten is the most comprehensive cash-back shopping portal and for a limited time, new users can get $50 cash-back bonus after spending $50, effectively making your purchase free. Here’s how to maximize this offer:
